Besam sliding door used to create a “wind lobby” for beach-front entrance

Custom-made vestibule saves energy and creates comfort for residents and staff.

Besam colleagues in South Africa recently designed and installed a type of vestibule known locally as a “wind lobby” at a beach-front apartment building in Sea Point near Capetown.The addition of a vestibule to an existing entrance can significantly improve the indoor environment by creating another layer of protection from outdoor elements such as wind and extreme temperature.

Aesthetics was very important for this up-market location and the Besam Frame Automatic Door System complimented the new glass frontage beautifully. According to Besam spokesman André Aiton, the customer was delighted with the outcome of the installation and is planning to look at modernizing the internal doors of the building in the future.
