Besam Canada upgrades Penetang Arena

Besam Canada’s Toronto office is not one to shy away from a challenging installation, and creating an automatic entrance for the Penetang Arena in Penetanguishene, Ontario, certainly qualified.

The complexity of the project required a complete team effort between sales, project coordination, the fabrication shop and installation.

Because of the design of the building and the age of the existing equipment, upgrading the manual swing doors required the complete removal of the exterior hollow metal frames in order to incorporate a completely new UniSlide door with a curved top transom area.

The customer also wanted to maintain the same color and look of the original design of the building that has been there for years, and as the photos indicate, the Toronto team was able to achieve that.

Feedback from arena management has been very positive, and Besam Canada anticipates the project will serve as a showase example for other communities in northern Ontario interested in upgrading their older municipal buildings.
